New Delhi: On March 30, India logged 2148 new cases of covid-19 along with 4 new deaths. Of these, 300 cases were reported in New Delhi itself, highest-ever count since September last year. With this, the active case count rose to 11903, which is 922 higher in 24 hours.
1222 people were also discharged from the hospital after recovering from the infection successfully. With this, the recovery rate continues to be stable at 98.79 per cent and the death rate is still 1.19 per cent.
The covid-19 pandemic kicked off in India in March 2020 when the first-ever lockdown was imposed. A year later in January 2021, the vaccination drive kicked off which continues till date.
