MUMBAI WOMAN SAYS 'NO SUCCESS IS WORTH RISKING YOUR HEALTH' IN VIRAL POST

A Mumbai-based woman shared a cautionary tale on social media about the consequences of neglecting her health for work and other responsibilities, which resonated with several users.

Sayali Raut, who works at the Founder's Office at Encubay - a platform supporting women-centric startups - shared her harrowing story in a post on LinkedIn.

She shared her journey of being hospitalised for nearly two months. "Almost two months in the hospital. Still on bed rest. Piled-up medical bills. This is what neglecting my health cost me," she wrote.

She admitted she hadn't taken her seriously, adding, "I never thought a few ignored symptoms could turn my life upside down. It wasn't just the physical struggle; it was the realisation that I had put everything else before my well-being until my body forced me to stop."

With a renewed perspective, Sayali urged her audience to prioritise their health: "If there's one thing this journey has taught me, it's this: your health is non-negotiable. No amount of success, money, or ambition is worth sacrificing."

"So here's my reminder to you—listen to your body, get that checkup, take that break, eat healthy and don't ignore the signs. Because trust me, prevention is always better than the price you pay later," Sayali said as she concluded her post.

Her post struck a chord as it prompted users to react. One of the users shared their own experience, saying, "Many people who get involved in work often ignore health. I used to have my lunch very irregularly between 1 pm to 4 pm and then sometimes skip lunch. Then the stomach gets angry and makes the acids tell us to slow down. Now I have my lunch with discipline."

"Thank you for sharing such a personal journey. Your courage and resilience are truly admirable. I hope your message inspires others to remember that prevention is always better than cure. Take care, and get well soon," another user said.

A particular user said, "Absolutely. Health should come first. No amount of success will get it back."
